Deirdre Santos, Licensed Veterinary Technician Supervisor
Deirdre Santosis the licensed veterinary technician supervisor at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys the challenges and learning opportunities that come with working at Stone Ridge and feels rewarded each day she helps the pets that come into the hospital.
A member of the staff since 2006, Deirdre holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from SUNY Delhi.
Deirdre has a cat named DaVinci and a Shepherd/Hound mix named Tessa. Deirdre races Thistle and Sunfish class sailboats competitively as a member of the Rochester Canoe Club. Her regatta competitions offer many opportunities for travel. She also enjoys camping, fishing and playing board games with her family.
Barbara Wiemer, Kennel supervisor
Kennel supervisor Barbara Wiemer joined the Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital staff in 1999. She loves working with the compassionate veterinarians and staff members and can't imagine working any other place.
Barbara is a member of the Upstate New York Boxer Club, of which she has been treasurer for the last two years, and the Great Lakes Boxer Club. She shares her home with six Boxers - Emma, Maggie, Tess, Ali, Gracie and Hawkeye - as well as a Bull Mastiff named Tess and two cats, Merlin and Oscar. She and her dogs take part in AKC, UKC and CKC dog shows in conformation classes.
In her spare time, Barbara breeds Boxers and owns a small business selling organic and holistic pet foods. She also enjoys quilting and sewing.
