Joshua Blair, DVM
Dr. Blair's Bio
Originally from LeRoy, N.Y., Dr. Blair graduated from Ross University in 2011 and completed his clinical year at Auburn University.
His professional interests include ophthalmology and surgery. Before veterinary school, Dr. Blair studied biology and chemistry, receiving his bachelor’s degree in 2006.
He has one pet, a golden retriever named Decker. Outside of work, Dr. Blair enjoys playing tennis, biking, and working out. He’s also a big fan of the New York Yankees and Auburn Football.
Isabel Wylie, VMD
Dr. Wylie's Bio
Dr. Wylie grew up in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester, earning a bachelor’s degree in microbiology with honors in research and a minor in psychology. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Wylie is Fear Free Certified and completed a rotating internship at Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Services before joining the Stone Ridge team. She loves most about her job: the supportive and welcoming atmosphere, caring employees and focusing on patient mental and physical wellness. Her professional interests include behavior and training.
She has two dogs, a mixed breed named Dexter and a pit bull mix named Adele, and a domestic short hair named Monster. Dr. Wylie is also the Medical Director of Rescue Pit, Inc. Dr. Wylie likes to spend her free time training her dogs, hiking, and kayaking.
Samantha Annunziata (Lovering), DVM
Dr. Annunziata's Bio
Dr. Samantha Annunziata is an associate veterinarian at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital and is Fear Free Certified. Dr. Annunziata earned her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with a concentration in animal physiology from Cornell University. She then went on to complete her doctorate of veterinary medicine at Cornell University.
While in veterinary school, Dr. Annunziata completed externships at Animal Medical Center, Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group in Brooklyn, Blue Pearl, and Oradell Animal Hospital.
Dr. Annunziata has a special interest in One Health, the idea that the health of humans, animals, and the environment are inextricably linked. She spent time volunteering at Cornell’s local healthy pet clinic for low-income families. Through her experience at the clinic and the fulfillment she derived from helping people and their pets, she became inspired to pursue a career in companion animal medicine.
Dr. Annunziata enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, CrossFit training, and exercising with Willy in her free time. Willy is a miniature poodle that she and Michael, her husband, provide a loving home for. Michael is the CEO of a food technology startup called Farther Farms.

Shawn joined our Stone Ridge team in June 2020 and had been working in the animal care industry for five years beforehand. He was born and raised around the corner in Rochester, NY!
He loves being surrounded by animals all day and especially likes seeing the bond between the patients and their parents.
Shawn also enjoys hiking and camping in the 1,000 Islands with his wife and their dog, Mugsy, a Daschund/Pig mix. If his is not hiking you might find him golfing on his days off!
Ruth Carini, CPDT-KA
Ruth Carini is the kennel supervisor at Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital. She has worked in the animal care industry since 2009.
Ruth likes helping nervous or aggressive pets become more comfortable boarding and loves working with her dedicated and passionate team.
Ruth also spends a fair amount of time with pets outside of the hospital. She recently passed the rigorous testing to become a certified pet dog trainer (CPDT-KA). Ruth is also an AKC CGC/S.T.A.R. puppy evaluator and handler of a TDI certified therapy dog named Kirby. She also shows her dogs in various canine sports.
Ruth has a small menagerie of her own, including five dogs (Hope, Kirby, Rigby, Brady, Samus), three cats (Sheena, Syndra, Yang), rats, bearded dragons, geckos, and a Russian tortoise. When she isn’t working with animals, Ruth likes to read, collect comics, and play video games.
At home, she enjoys the company of her boyfriend Quinton along with her English Cream Golden Retriever named Michael Scott, Tortishell cat named Terri, Bearded Dragon named Chandler, and California King Snake named J.R. Amalia loves training Michael because he can do so many tricks! She also enjoys cross-stitching, doing puzzles, and focusing on her business, Tails & Veils, where she helps couples incorporate their pets into their special day!
Courtney was born and raised in Rochester, NY. She is currently our Licensed Veterinary Technician Supervisor but joined our team back in August 2001 as a kennel attendant! Courtney earned her associate’s degree in Science Degree-Veterinary Technology from Medaille College-Buffalo in 2007 and is a New York State Licensed LVT. She is also a member of NYSAVT (NYS Association of Veterinary Technicians).
Starting her animal care industry career so young with our team, Courtney has really grown up at Stone Ridge; her teammates are like her family! She enjoys having the opportunity to improve the health and wellness of our client’s furry family members. She also loves making lasting connections with our clients.
At home, Courtney has 8 cats (Yes, EIGHT, it’s a job hazard working somewhere where stray animals sometimes get brought in!) ranging in age from 11 months to 19 years old. Her cats are: Quincy, Boo, Cruiser, Jack, Jase, Frankie (who has his own Instagram!), Alie, and Lani. Jack and Jase are biological brothers and Ali & Lani are biological sisters! Her Bulldogs are Jasper and Rawley.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with family and friends, making crafts, spending time outside when the weather is warm, swimming with her dogs, going for walks, and working in her yard. She is a dedicated Yankees and Bills fan and loves to spend time at Red Wings games in the summer!
